Multimedia exhibition
On the streets of Pavia
Siro the Pilgrim
The moments of the exhibition
The exhibition is introduced by a video taken from a story by Cesare Carabba.
The author imagines that it was a bread leavened in heaven that gave rise to the imposing construction of the Cathedral of Pavia.
This idea comes from a local legend which says that it was the young San Siro himself who offered the Lord the basket with the five loaves and two fish which He would then multiply to feed the people who had followed him.
Photographic images of the author are exhibited in the adjacent room.
The scene is Pavia and its streets.
Thanks to the scenographic nature of the photos, they depict intimate and private city places, where the passer-by becomes the protagonist of a story, an actor of his own existence.
Among these photos, on each column of the octagonal exhibition room, there are images that portray the Saint.
These representations are present in newsstands displayed along the streets of Pavia, or paintings and statues located inside churches.
At the exit of the exhibition, the story of San Siro and a booklet will be offered which will allow, through the attached map, to find the various representations of the Saint, scattered throughout Pavia.
We wish a good journey, following in the footsteps of San Siro, a humble pilgrim who, carrying within himself the beauty and strength of the Gospel, rooted the Faith in Pavia.

Introductory video
The video that introduces the exhibition is taken from a story that aims to be a flight of imagination animated by faith.
The author imagines that it was a bread leavened in heaven that gave rise to the imposing construction of the Cathedral of Pavia.
This fantasy is inspired by the miracle of the multiplication of the loaves and fishes performed by Jesus.
In fact, a local legend has it that it was the young San Siro who offered the basket with the five loaves and two fish to the Lord.
The author fantasizes that it will be precisely these fish, which have escaped from the basket, that will drag the Cathedral and those who stop there, into fantastic places of deep meditation.
Photographic exhibition by Cesare Carabba
The exhibition continues with photographic images. The scene is Pavia with its streets.
Thanks to the scenographic nature of the photos, they depict intimate and private city places, where the passer-by becomes the protagonist of a story, an actor of his own existence.
Even the founder of Pavia's Christianity, San Siro, once walked these paths, certainly very different from the current ones, but equally evocative of an interior journey.
On each column of the octagonal exhibition hall, there are images portraying the Saint. These representations are present in newsstands displayed along the streets of Pavia or paintings and statues located inside churches.
Story about San Siro
At the exit of the exhibition, the story about San Siro will be offered, of which the video is the summary.
San Siro in Pavia
Through a booklet, offered at the end of the exhibition, the visitor will be able, through an attached map, to find the various representations of San Siro, scattered throughout Pavia. Ideally, in this way, the path begun in the Duomo will also continue in our city.
Have a good trip.
